It also seemed to me that they dragged out every cliche possible and put them in the story. I’m a big fan of that series, but somehow i never totally got into this one as much. This one started out really good, but then started to drag out in the middle. It has incredibly poor writing. Thus, after her mother dies, Rebecca Matlock flees to an isolated Maine town to avoid her stalker after he wounds the Governor of New York, her former employer.

The story just went on and on and on.
Her stalker had detonated a bomb and killed that poor old woman. No, never that, it was just so incongruous set against the normalcy of the cuolter outside.
Maybe she now knows that no one talks like her characters. She saw the horses throwing their heads from side to side, their eyes rolling at the smoke, the smell of the explosive. If she hasn’t learned to write by this point in her career, diptide never will.

Even the mystery was ruined by its predictability and Coulter’s horrible use of a second climax which was totally unrealistic.
Don’t catherjne him scare you. Not one that I couldn’t put down, but enjoyable. I am fucking repulsed and disgusted and beg all of you not to read this book and most likely nothing else by this author.
Becca also seemed a little too calm for what happened to her.
Her father, Thomas sends Adam to protect her and it is a while before she gets any answers as to why. I was listening to the audio book. This book like all the books in the series except book 4 was great, it moves quickly and is very entertaining. Time seemed to have stopped, then suddenly there was chaos as everyone in view exploded into action.
